The year, 2008, has brought some exciting
things to the home of Moss Hill Studio. The various publications
featuring JoAnnA’s artwork, as well as the ones yet to be released, is
just the beginning for her.
JoAnnA, now delightfully dons a new hat with the creation of unique
collage sheets. The first in the series are whimsical paper doll
dresses, which she hopes will inspire the creative soul to play. With
those creative juices flowing, she will continually surprise us daily,
weekly, monthly and beyond with this form of art.
There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that born to an artistic mother,
JoAnnA had no other destiny than to be an artist. With encouragement,
her creative juices flowed from the time a pencil was put in her hand
and she sewed her first stitch.
From her passion for oil painting in her teens, through her decorative
painting years and the many creative endeavors that sparked her
interest, it wasn’t until she found the world of mixed media that really
her heart truly pumped with excitement.
JoAnnA was blessed with many treasures from her grandmother, including
beautiful vintage laces and trims which she now embellishes fun and free
fabric collages with.
Today, JoAnnA combines her passions for paint, lace and found objects
into adoptable art dolls, unique assemblage and fabric art,
which of course lead her to the present. |
